How To Choose The Right Sunglasses For Your Face Shape
There’s no denying that choosing the right sunglasses can be an overwhelming task. Being armed with information is therefore essential and in this case, it’s probably best to ignore any trends. Much like choosing the perfect suit, sunglasses are highly subjective - because certain shapes will only suit certain faces. Not sure where to start? Let our definitive guide take you there.
The Round Face
A rounder face will, in general, have softer angles - so you’re going to want your glasses to add in some structure. Sharper edges should be your ally here, and a lens that tapers slightly inwards will help visibly elongate your features. The right kind of round lens (nothing too small) will also work when worn the right way, but it’s generally best to go with something a bit more angular.
The Oblong Face
If your face is slightly longer than it is round and your jaw and forehead are the same width, you’ve got an oblong face. If this is you, you definitely won’t struggle to find a pair of sunglasses that suits you (just avoid anything that’ll make your face appear longer). It’s also a good idea to pick a pair with a slightly thicker frame to draw focus up to your eye level.
