Mother’s Ruin Gin Palace

Here’s a place that knows a thing or two about a good gin. Created in the spirit of London’s long history of gin drinking, award-winning Mother’s Ruin in Upper Walthamstow produces a range of uniquely delicious gins – 70 at the last count – for you to explore.

Unit 18, Ravenswood Industrial Estate, Shernhall St, London E17 9HQ

With many of their ingredients home-grown in their two small orchards, or wild foraged from in and around East London, you certainly can’t argue with their commitment to the cause. Over the course of a year their fruit is steeped in gin, intensely infused for an exceptional depth of flavour, and it shows.

Based in an airy World War One munitions factory building that opens up to host a tiny cocktail bar at weekends, if you can snag a table, this is something a little different in the best kind of way.
